What Are Flower Essences
Flower essences are natural tinctures that are extracted from flowers. The distinctive essence of the flower is then used as a homeopathic tool to alleviate a variety of issues or concerns. I have to be careful with my wording here so stay with me.
How Are Flower Essences Made
Flower essences are made by placing a batch of flowers in water and leaving it to sit in the sun. After several hours of direct sunlight, the vibrational essence of the flower is left in the water. Hence the name flower essence. Then the water is used for consumption.
Note: Some flower essences contain alcohol as a preservative.
How To Use Flower Essences
Flower essences are magical. A small drop will go a long way. Start with 1-2 drops to a glass of water or directly under your tongue. You can also create different remedy blends with select flower essences. However, when you are new to working with flower essences or a new flower remedy it is best to work with one at a time for a while. You want be able to track whether it is a good fit or not. Even though adverse effects are rare they are still possible.
I've felt immediate relief after using some flower essences. However, everything will happen at the right time for you. For deeply rooted security issues, or repressed feelings, expect a longer window of time for noticable changes. It could be anywhere from 1- 3 months or more before you start seeing results. It all depends on your reason for working with the flower essence and your willingness to be receptive to the experience.

Flower Essences For Stress Relief
There are flower essences out there for everything. That is the beauty and abundance of nature. The following flower essences are what I've used and can tell you I've had great success with. Results will vary for everyone.
1. Aspen
Botanical Name: Populus Tremula
Key Words: Vague fears of unknown origin, anxiety, apprehension
Can be used for gaining a sense of security if you are experiencing a lack of inner peace. This flower essence may be able to calm the unsteadiness.
2. Mimulus
Botanical Name: Mimulus Guttatus
Key Words: fear, anxiety of known origin
Can be used for facing fears that you know of i.e public speaking or being in small spaces, flying etc. Mimulus would be the way to go. This flower essence helps you connect to your courage so you can face your challenges whatever they may be.
3. Clematis
Botanical Name: Clematis Vitalba
Key Words: Indifference, dreaminess, inattention, unconsciousness
Can be used when you feel stressed because of deadlines, or feel overwhelmed about life, or tend to daydream often. Clematis can help by canceling the noise so you can know what you need to do and have the focus to do it.
The Root Of It
Remedies are helpful. And healing happens is layers. So be gentle with yourself. I wasn't always calm or peaceful. I used to be a ball full of nerves until I figured out what my main triggers were. Once you shed light on any unresolved issue it loses its affect on you. Usually when we feel stressed or triggered it is an indication that we are disconnected from Spirit. And there is no shame in using support to get back until you can get back on your own.
