Updated: Aug 6, 2023

Flower essences are a natural way to bring balance to mind, body, and spirit wellness.

"Flowers are like friends. They bring color to your world." ~unknown

What Are Flower Essences

Flower essences are natural tinctures that are extracted from flowers. The distinctive essence of the flower is then used as a homeopathic tool to alleviate a variety of issues or concerns. I have to be careful with my wording here so stay with me.

How Are Flower Essences Made

Flower essences are made by placing a batch of flowers in water and leaving it to sit in the sun. After several hours of direct sunlight, the vibrational essence of the flower is left in the water. Hence the name flower essence. Then the water is used for consumption.

Note: Some flower essences contain alcohol as a preservative.

How To Use Flower Essences

I have a few favorite flower essences that have been drawn to on my journey. Flower essences are extremely magical. A small drop will go a long way. If you're new to using flower essences you can add 1-2 drops to a glass of water or directly under your tongue. You can also create different remedy blends with select flower essences. However, when you are new to working with flower essences or a new flower remedy it is best to work with one at a time for a while. You want to be able to track whether it is a good fit or not. Even though adverse effects are rare they are still possible.

I've felt immediate relief after using some flower essences. In other cases more time was needed. So everything will happen at the right time for you. In matters regarding deeply rooted security issues or repressed feelings, there will be a longer window. It could be anywhere from 1- 3 months or more before you start seeing results. It all depends on your reason for working with the flower essence and your willingness to be receptive to the experience. For the most part, the flower essences listed below work rather quickly as in minutes.

Note: Flower essences are generally safe to use as they are natural alternatives. However, they may not be suitable for some. If you're willing to try different flower essences the one that will help you the most will choose you. Don't forget to journal your process.

3. Larch

Botanical Name: Larix Decidua

Key Words: lack of confidence, anticipation of failure, despondency

Can be used if you struggle with self-confidence for any reason. Larch can be especially helpful to over-come inhibition, public speaking or social anxiety. Larch works instantly.

The Root Of It

Remedies are supportive tools that assist with breaking down the structures that keep us disconnected from our true selves. They are meant to assist but can not substitute for the work we must do to shift our perspective. I invite you to use the tools that are available to you as well as to figure out the thoughts that disconnected you from yourself initially. So use the support to eventually reconnect to your higher self [spirit] on your own.

Be well.
