Creating a mindful AM routine may be helpful if you want to have more energy and peace throughout the day. Right before sunrise is considered a potent time energetically to tune into spirit and bring your highest self into the day ahead.

Right before sunrise is considered the most auspicious time to do spiritual activities because your third eye is more activated now. Also, when you rise before the sun, if you choose to, you get to harness the sun's potent energy that can be put to good use.
To become an early riser, start a routine by adding one thing at a time. Later, you can add steps to a habit stack, a series of consecutive actions.
When you start with 1-2 things, you are more likely to have more success that way. As you get used to your simple habit stack, build your personalized routine from there.

If you're not yet able to wake up before sunrise, you can still create a meaningful routine that starts when you wake up. Eventually, when your energy picks up, you will wake up earlier. So, the intention of mindfulness and some effort will be enough to start positively shifting your days.

Here are a few suggestions for a mindful rising:
Aim to wake up at the same time daily
Express gratitude as soon as you are aware that you're awake
Make your bed
Shower
Drink something warm [preferably not on the go]
Sun salutations
Kemetic yoga
Stretch
Pranayama
Meditation
Chant
Read spiritual content
Journal your dreams
Write affirmations for the day
Read or write your goals
Pour libations
Pull an Oracle card

When you start feeling present and connected, you have a higher chances of carrying that vibe throughout your day. Even if someone starts walking too slowly in front of you at the coffee shop, you'll handle it better than if you didn't start your day on a high note.
The benefits of starting your day with intention are many. Here are some things you can expect:
More energy throughout the day
Improved mood
Higher self- efficacy
Resilience
Better time management
Better sleep at night
Less mental fog
Things that distract you in the am are counterproductive, encourage procrastination, and drain your energy. So, while the above suggestions are energy givers, the following actions are energy takers.
Avoid checking your email first thing in the morning. Most business hours are closed anyway. And if it is work-related, more than likely, it can wait. If you are an entrepreneur, you still need some separation between home and work. So whenever possible, set office hours. As an entrepreneur, one of your agreements with yourself can be that you will not check your email until 9 a.m., noon, or after you've had your coffee, etc.
Avoid social media because it is designed to keep you watching. The algorithms are designed to keep you engaged and distracted. The last thing you want is to be flooded with 5011 emotions and updates before you can center yourself. Some people log out and have to log back in, which makes them rethink logging into their social media platforms altogether. Turn off your notifications. Turn on Do Not Disturb from the night before until a specific time in the am. You have options.
Avoid watching the news early in the am. The same stories tend to be repeated throughout the day on multiple channels. The stories that are most often played are negatively charged. Sometimes, it's hard to detach when you consistently see and hear certain things. All of it has an effect on you for sure.
Adulting can sometimes feel overrated; however, these intentional practices help bring you back into your power.
Be well.
