Boost Your Productivity

Updated: Apr 16, 2023

We all are finding ways to balance our day to day lives and sometimes getting things done can take a bit of creativity. However there are a few steps that will help bring you closer to being more productive no matter what the task is.

#1 - Organize

The more organized you are about your affairs the better your chances of following through. Whatever the goal is write it down and start. Don't overthink it. You can make adjustments later if necessary.

  • For health create a plan that works for you so you can stick to your plan. For example, set your workout clothes out the night before, leave your alarm across the room so you have to get out of bed, etc.

  • For business write out your business plan

  • For studying schedule study blocks of time during the time of day when you are most alert.

#2 - Prioritize

We all have the same 24 hours in a day. How will you use yours? Once you know where you want to focus-put first things first and minimize those distractions. You know the things can pull your attention away from your focus.

To maintain your focus try any of these:

  • Use the Pomodoro method for tasks [break tasks into 25 min chunks with a 5 minute break between tasks]

  • Or use a sand timer

  • Turn of notifications

"Time is a created thing. To say 'I don't have time' is to say I don't want to. ~Lao Tzu

#3 - Service

As your life is coming together the way that you want consider giving back so others can have the support they need to do better as well. You may not be where you want to be but there are people out there that would be grateful just to be where you are already. So wherever you are find a way to:

  • Donate to a cause that you care about

  • Volunteer

Why is this important? Being of service or helping others keeps you grounded and grateful for where you are and what you have.

Slow And Steady Wins The Race

Anytime you start something new or change things it takes a while to build your momentum but I encourage you to take your time and stick with it. We are all in the same boat when it comes to self improvement in some way or form. So pace yourself but keep going.

You got this.
